The Concerned Citizens of Ipu Clan Reject Asa Think Tank’s Injustice in House of Assembly Zoning

The good people of Asa must be informed that the recent decision taken by the Asa Think Tank to zone the House of Assembly seat to Asa North is not only unfair but also a clear act of injustice. Such a decision undermines the principles of equity, fairness, and unity that should guide leadership and political arrangements within our community. It is deeply disappointing that a decision of this magnitude was taken without proper consultation and consideration of the feelings and rights of other stakeholders, particularly the people of Ipu. As concerned citizens, we strongly reject any arrangement that seeks to marginalize a section of our people.
We wish to make it clear that the position of the House of Representatives should remain open to all qualified aspirants from Ipu, Asa North, and the Ozaa group. Democracy thrives when there is healthy competition and equal opportunity for all. Therefore, whoever emerges victorious from the party primaries among these zones should be supported by everyone for the collective progress of Asa. Our focus should be on competence, credibility, and the ability to represent the people effectively, not on restrictive zoning arrangements that breed division.
However, with regard to the House of Assembly seat, the concerned citizens of Ipu categorically reject the decision of the Think Tank to zone the position to Asa North. This decision is unacceptable to us because it disregards fairness and the rightful turn of the Ipu people. We cannot and will not kowtow to a decision that seeks to deny our people their legitimate opportunity to represent the constituency. Justice must prevail, and the voices of the people of Ipu must be heard and respected.
It is important to state clearly that this is the turn of an Ipu son to contest for the House of Assembly seat, and no individual or group has the authority to stop them from exercising their democratic right. The people of Ipu are determined, united, and committed to ensuring that their rightful place in the political arrangement of Asa is not taken away. We therefore call on all lovers of justice and fairness within Asa to stand with the truth and support what is right.
